Awards

Teresa L. Bowling was awarded the NC Bar Association Paralegal Division 2008 Distinguished Paralegal Award (presented on May 14, 2009, in connection with the Paralegal Division's 11th Annual Meeting in Greensboro). The Distinguished Paralegal Award is given to a Paralegal Division regular member who has actively participated in paralegal activities such as civic/community volunteering, paralegal leadership, paralegal education, and promotion of the paralegal profession.

Christina T. Murphy-Booth was named the City of Charlotte Employee of the Year – 2008. Accoring to her nominator, Christina does so much for so many, filling many different roles from the smaller one as the unofficial office IT expert, to stepping up and volunteering to learn higher level legal skills that make the attorney’s office operate more efficiently. Christina does it all and everything in between. When she’s not helping someone in the office, you can find Christina reading up about new, developing areas of the law. She’s also known to spot and fix potentially costly errors big and small. Christina is so well respected by the legal community that she is the only non-attorney ever to be appointed chair of the City Attorney’s Professionalism Committee. (This committee is responsible for several things including coordinating various volunteer activities for the community). Christina exemplifies the great talent we have among our employee ranks.
